About

Sigs n’ Bucher Instruments was originally started by recycling old upright parts for personal use. Ind’Grass’s bassist, Bryan “Sigs” Sigrist, had an old upright with a destroyed body and, instead of throwing it all out, created a new electric solid body using the old parts. It worked surprisingly well and has a beautiful wood burned design on the entire back of it. Playing and showing off this instrument at shows created an interest from other musicians who wanted something similar. One bassist commissioned him to make one that is a semi hollow body using old bass parts he had laying around. Bryan then teamed up with Josh Bucher, who already had a garage set up for woodworking, to build the bass. Josh was also creating string sticks, flutes and other various instruments for personal use. And everyone who has seen and heard these instruments immediately asks how much they can get one for. So, during the process of creating the bass, and talking about crafting other instruments, Sigs n’ Bucher was formed.
